Beautiful Beer: Columbus Brewing Company by Element

Sadly another craft beer I have yet to try.

In 2006, Columbus Brewing Company wanted to increase sales and make a regional impact, but still keep within their style – enter design firm Element. Based in Columbus, Ohio, John McCollum for Element and brewmaster Eric Bean collaborated to create something new. After countless hours and more importantly countless pints, a re-imagined brand was born. Featuring bright colors, a clean wordmark, and a respect for consistency across the complete line of beers (more on the brand here), the design for Columbus Brewing Company clearly demonstrates what good design and great beer should be.

If you live in the Columbus area or if you’ve sampled any of the Columbus Brewing Co’s brews please feel free to sing their praises in the comments. In the meantime I will simply have to salivate over the pictures like a 14-year-old boy over his first Playboy.

  1. You have a neat blog on your hands. Catchy name, wonderfully articulate, down to earth – everything says winner. I have recently begun my search for great beer and will be visiting your site often. Keep up the good work.
