Morimoto Soba Ale By Rogue Ales

I’ve been staring at this one on the ‘bomber’ rack for some time. Kind of always assumed it was a bottle of sake mistakenly placed on the beer shelf.

Nevertheless, I purchased it. Morimoto Soba Ale, which is a part of Rogue Signature Series of beers launched in 2003, was crafted with the help of the Iron Chef himself, Masaharu Morimoto. Made with buckwheat(soba) this ale is light and refreshing – a prefect accompaniment to a 90 degree afternoon.

Currently Morimoto Soba Ale is available on draft and in 22oz bombers(like the one pictured above). Not much hop presence in this Rogue offering, but then again that’s the point considering the soba is the star. Head is pure white and is nice and frothy. Color is golden. Hops: Crystal.
